Common Questions

FAQ

Straight answers for traders considering Obsidian Flow, joining a suite, or trying to understand how the tools fit together before launch.

Overview

What people usually ask.

What platform is this built for?

Obsidian Flow is built for NinjaTrader 8. The current product lineup is designed around NinjaTrader charting and SuperDOM workflows.

Can I buy a single tool?

Not at the moment. Standalone leases have been withdrawn in favour of two clean tiers — the tools are built to be read together, and pricing one at a time made the cheapest path the least useful one.

What is the difference between Starter and Professional?

Starter is what the market shows you — where price traded, how the session is framed, what pressure sits at each level, how liquidity behaves. Professional adds what it hides and who is forcing it: the Iceberg Detector and the whole True Aggression suite. The line is observation versus inference, not chart versus DOM.

Is the founder rate really permanent?

Yes. It is a separate price rather than a discount code, so it does not expire and it does not step up after a year — you keep it for as long as the subscription runs. It is capped at 100 subscribers across all tiers, and once those are gone the rate closes.

Are these trade signals?

The tools are decision-support tools. They are designed to improve structure, context, and orderflow visibility. They are not a promise of profit and they do not remove trading risk.

Will there be future updates?

Yes. The lineup is designed to evolve. Some future features may arrive as phase releases, premium upgrades, or later suite additions.

Do I need a particular data feed?

The True Aggression tools read individual trades, so your provider must supply tick data for the instrument, and they add a hidden 1-tick series to the chart. The SuperDOM columns need live depth. The Starter chart tools need neither and will run on any feed that draws bars.
